Volodymyr Makeyenko

Volodymyr Makeyenko is a former Ukrainian politician who served as a member of parliament and held the position of deputy head of the Party of Regions faction. He is also known for his role as the head of the Kyiv City State Administration. Recently, he made headlines when a court upheld the seizure of over 1.5 billion UAH (approximately 35 million USD) in assets linked to him, which were allegedly held in foreign accounts. The investigation by the State Bureau of Investigations (DBR) suggests that Makeyenko was involved in tax evasion through hidden businesses abroad, including offshore companies in various jurisdictions.
