Volodymyr Saiko

Volodymyr Saiko is the commander of a mobile fire group of the 8th Sumy Territorial Defense Brigade, known as 'Lisovyk'. He has been actively involved in intercepting Russian drones, specifically the 'Shahed' models, during the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Under his leadership, his unit has successfully shot down approximately 60 drones over the past two years. Saiko's experiences highlight the challenges faced by mobile fire groups in engaging aerial threats, as they often struggle with targeting due to the altitude at which the drones operate.
