Vyacheslav Koval'skyi is a Ukrainian sniper serving in the 13th Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). At 58 years old, he gained international attention for setting a new world record for the longest confirmed sniper kill, hitting a Russian soldier at a staggering distance of 3,800 meters. Before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Koval'skyi was a businessman and an amateur shooting enthusiast, who transitioned to military service as the war escalated. His exceptional skills and the use of a specially designed sniper rifle, the 'Volodar Obriyu', underscore the evolving nature of warfare in Ukraine.
