Vyachka Stankevich

Vyachka Stankevich was a notable Belarusian-American engineer, community leader, and advocate for Belarusian culture, born in Vilnius on September 15, 1932. Emigrating to the United States in 1949, he was actively involved in the Belarusian diaspora, founding a soccer team and serving in various leadership roles within Belarusian organizations, including the Belarusian-American Association and Radio Free Europe's Belarusian service. Stankevich passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of dedication to his heritage.
