Wajdi Dhouib

Wajdi Dhouib is the president of the National Chamber of Leather and Shoe Artisans in Tunisia. Recently, he expressed concern over the stagnation of the shoe market, particularly during the festive period of Aïd al-Fitr, highlighting a decline in demand attributed to the influx of imported products and the degradation of consumers' purchasing power. Dhouib has called for stricter enforcement of regulations to combat unfair competition and has raised alarms about the informal commerce that is exacerbating the crisis within the sector, where the number of artisans has dramatically decreased.
