Walaa
Walaa, previously the leader of the Islamic State (IS) in Germany, is currently facing legal challenges regarding his potential deportation due to national security concerns. A court ruled that there is no credible evidence of his deradicalization, and his past affiliations with terrorism pose a risk of reoffending. Walaa, who arrived in Germany as an asylum seeker in 2001, has seven children and had served as an imam at a mosque associated with a now-banned Islamic group. He is currently participating in a deradicalization program but has remained reticent about his views on his past actions during court proceedings.
