Walid Abdul-Basit Sheikh Mousa

Walid Abdul-Basit Sheikh Mousa was a young Kurdish fighter who passionately joined the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) at the age of 18 to combat the Islamic State group. He was killed in February 2023, just weeks after purchasing a motorbike, while fighting against IS in northeastern Syria. His family remembers him as a caring son who brought joy and affection to their lives.
