Walter Brady

Walter Brady was a notable Jamaican politician and former Mayor of Port Maria who served as the councillor for the Hampstead division and chaired the St Mary Parish Council from 1981 to 1982. He was also a candidate for the Jamaica Labour Party in the Central St Mary constituency during the 1980 elections. Beyond politics, Brady was recognized as a successful farmer, particularly in the banana and winter vegetable sectors, and had a background in education and sales. He graduated from the Jamaica School of Agriculture and is remembered for his contributions to his community and family.
