Wang Shouli is a pioneering geologist renowned for his discovery of a gold-bearing quartz vein in 1980, which led to the unveiling of the Hada Mengou gold mine in Inner Mongolia, one of China's largest gold deposits. His work laid the foundation for extensive mineral exploration in the region.
