
Waziri Kindamba
Waziri Kindamba is the Director General of Usafiri Dar es Salaam Rapid Transit (UDART), an authority responsible for managing public transportation in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He has been instrumental in addressing the challenges faced by the aging bus fleet and has announced the introduction of new gas-powered buses to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of the transit system. Under his leadership, UDART is set to trial a new gas-powered bus in April 2025, with plans to receive a total of 100 new buses by the end of the 2024/2025 financial year.
