Wei Xu

Wei Xu is the owner of RMPS International Limited, an Auckland-based import business that he established in 2016. Following financial struggles exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic, Xu was drawn into a cigarette smuggling scheme, leading to his sentencing for defrauding Customs. Despite his claims of ignorance regarding the contraband in his shipments, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 11 months of home detention.
