Wellington Ndaka

Wellington Ndaka is the Chief Forest Conservator of Meru County, Kenya, overseeing significant tree planting initiatives aimed at restoring degraded forests. Recently, he reported the planting of over 38.1 million trees in the region as part of a larger national effort to achieve 15 billion tree cover by 2032. Under his leadership, the Kenya Forest Service and community partners are working to combat environmental challenges such as illegal logging and invasive species, enhancing the forest cover in Meru County.
