Wilburn Stranger Cole

Wilburn 'Stranger' Cole was a legendary Jamaican singer known for his pioneering contributions to ska, rocksteady, and reggae music. With a career spanning over six decades, he gained fame for iconic hits like 'Rough and Tough' and 'Bangarang,' the latter being one of the earliest reggae anthems. Cole's collaborations with various artists and producers, including duets with Patsy Todd and work with Arthur 'Duke' Reid, solidified his status as a central figure in the evolution of Jamaican music. He passed away on June 11 at the age of 85.
