Will Hutchins was an American actor best known for his role as a gentle sheriff in the television series 'Sugarfoot,' which aired from 1957 to 1961 during the height of the Western genre craze. With a distinctive approach that featured a preference for cherry soda over whiskey, Hutchins' character stood out in a time when rugged masculinity was celebrated on screen. His work contributed to the popularity of Westerns in the late 1950s, a period when eight of the top ten television shows were Westerns. Hutchins passed away on April 21, 2023, at the age of 94.
