William Corder
William Corder was a 19th-century Englishman infamous for the murder of Maria Marten in 1827, a crime that shocked Georgian Britain. Convicted and executed in 1828, his story has become a notorious part of English folklore, often recounted in various cultural works. Notably, after his execution, parts of his skin were used to bind a book detailing his trial, which has now been rediscovered and is on display at Moyse's Hall Museum.
