William V.S. 'Shad' Tubman, Jr. was a prominent Liberian politician and former senator from Maryland County, known for his family's political legacy, being the son of former President William V.S. Tubman. He became a national figure in the 1950s and remained active in Liberian politics, even running for president in 2005. Tubman was also an ordained minister and contributed to community rebuilding efforts after returning to Liberia in the early 2000s. He passed away at the age of 95 in Abidjan, La Cote d'Ivoire.
