Winfried Schäfer is a seasoned German football coach with over four decades of experience in the sport. Known for his tactical acumen, he has previously managed several clubs and national teams, including a successful stint with the Cameroon national team, leading them to a 2002 African Cup of Nations victory. Appointed as the Technical Advisor for Ghana's Black Stars in January, Schäfer is tasked with enhancing the team's performance and overseeing the long-term development of football in the country as they prepare for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
