Winsome Hastings

Dr. Winsome Hastings was a respected ophthalmologist from Montego Bay, Jamaica, whose career spanned decades. Born on October 30, 1943, she graduated from the University of the West Indies in 1973 and specialized in ophthalmology in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Hastings dedicated her life to improving eye health in Jamaica, working at Cornwall Regional Hospital and establishing a private practice in Montego Bay. She was known for her compassion, dedication to her patients, and mentorship of younger doctors. Tragically, she passed away on August 25, 2023, just two days after her husband, Donovan Clark, highlighting a profound loss for the Montego Bay community.
