Winston Maragh
Winston Maragh is the chairman of the Association of Local Government Authorities of Jamaica (ALGA-J). He has been in the news recently due to accusations from Kingston Mayor Andrew Swaby, who claims that Maragh is stifling democracy by delaying the holding of the organization's annual general meeting (AGM). This AGM, which has not occurred since 2017, was highly anticipated but ended in chaos earlier this year, leading to a physical confrontation that left Maragh injured.
