Wu Chengyan

Wu Chengyan is a 39-year-old young artist from Wuying Village in Shangqiu City, Henan Province. He gained recent attention for his impressive mural of Tiananmen, measuring 18 meters long and 8 meters high, which he completed in just five days. His artwork has transformed his village into a bustling tourist attraction, drawing thousands of visitors over the New Year holiday. Over the past few years, Wu has created over 40 murals that reflect various themes, including national culture, local traditions, and revolutionary history, effectively turning Wuying Village into an 'art museum without walls.' Wu aims to inspire local youth by opening a studio to teach painting, further enriching the artistic life of his community.
