Wu Jianxiong
Wu Jianxiong, also known as Chien-Shiung Wu, was a Chinese-American experimental physicist who made significant contributions to the field of nuclear physics. She is best known for her work on the Manhattan Project and for conducting the Wu experiment, which provided crucial evidence for the theory of parity violation in weak interactions, a discovery that led to the Nobel Prize awarded to her colleagues Yang Chen-Ning and Li Zhengdao in 1957. Wu's pioneering research has earned her a prominent place in the history of science, and she is often referred to as the 'First Lady of Physics'.
