Wu Nai-jen

Wu Nai-jen is a former chairman of Taiwan Sugar Corp (Taisugar) and a former official of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP). He was convicted of breach of trust related to the controversial sale of Taisugar land in 2003, which resulted in significant financial losses for the company. Wu's case has drawn attention due to perceived transparency issues, particularly regarding the handling of his conviction and the recovery of state assets.
