Wu Yang

Wu Yang is a Chinese political figure who currently serves as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Guangzhou Municipal Government. He was appointed to this position in March 2023, after a transfer from his previous role as the head of the Nansha District in Guangzhou. In addition to his duties as Deputy Secretary-General, Wu Yang also holds the position of Director of the Guangzhou Investment Development Committee, an organization established to promote foreign investment in sectors such as biomedicine, artificial intelligence, new energy, and robotics. Recently, he has been in the news due to an investigation initiated by the Central Inspection Team in Guangdong Province, which is conducting routine inspections in Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
