Xiomara Hortencia Zelaya Castro

Xiomara Hortencia Zelaya Castro, commonly known as 'La Pichu', is a Honduran politician and member of the Libertad y Refundación (Libre) party, currently serving as a deputy for the 2022-2026 term. She is the daughter of former president Manuel Zelaya and current president Xiomara Castro. Recently, she was in the news due to a false graphic circulating on social media, incorrectly claiming that she was the first female Honduran deputy to summit Mount Everest, which was denied by the state channel Canal 8.
