Xiu

Xiu is the Economic and Commercial Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Nepal. He was recently mentioned in the news for his participation in talks with Nepalese officials about potential Chinese investments in infrastructure projects in Nepal, particularly under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Xiu noted the positive stance of the Chinese government towards investing in Nepal’s infrastructure, although he pointed out that formal communication from the Nepalese government has been lacking.
