Xolid al-Anani

Xolid al-Anani is an Egyptian politician and former Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, known for his efforts in promoting Egypt's cultural heritage and tourism sector. He played a significant role in restoring and preserving historical sites in Egypt, particularly after the political turmoil that affected the tourism industry. Al-Anani was recently in the news as he was appointed as the new head of UNESCO, succeeding Audrey Azoulay, during the 43rd session of the General Conference held in Samarkand.
