Xu Congxiang

Xu Congxiang, born in June 1953 in Taihe, Anhui, is a notable Chinese farmer and Communist Party member recognized for his significant contributions to modern agriculture. He serves as the Party Branch Secretary of the Taihe County Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Experimental Demonstration Base. Xu has dedicated his career to advancing agricultural practices in rural areas, focusing on the development of high-yield crop varieties and innovative cultivation methods. His efforts have transformed many underperforming fields into productive lands, positively impacting food security in China. A recipient of multiple honors, including 'National Model Worker' and 'Top Ten Farmers in China,' he has also served as a delegate to the National People's Congress. In recognition of his exemplary work and commitment to agricultural innovation, Xu was recently awarded the title of 'Model of the Times' by the Central Propaganda Department.
