Y-Dang Troeung

Y-Dang Troeung was a Cambodian refugee and a close friend of Canadian author Madeleine Thien, whose life and experiences greatly influenced Thien's writing. Troeung was born in a refugee camp in 1980 after her family fled Cambodia and tragically passed away in 2022.
