Yan Shaojiu

Yan Shaojiu is the director of the Graphene New Energy Materials Center at the Beijing Aeronautical Materials Research Institute, part of the China Aviation Engine Group. He has been instrumental in advancing the development and production of graphene-based aviation batteries, which promise to significantly enhance energy density and efficiency compared to traditional battery technologies. Under his leadership, the institute has made strides in applying graphene technology to electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL) and drones, contributing to the burgeoning low-altitude economy in China.
