Yang Shangkun

Yang Shangkun was a prominent Chinese military and political leader during the Second Sino-Japanese War and is noted for his role in coordinating efforts between the military and local populations, exemplified by his participation in a large-scale celebration of the Lantern Festival alongside the troops and civilians in Wuxiang County in 1940.
