Yang Xianyi

Yang Xianyi was a prominent Chinese translator known for his translations of Western literature into Chinese and for his work in promoting Chinese literature abroad. He was a key figure among the Chinese intellectuals studying in Europe during the 1930s and returned to China during the war to contribute to the national effort against Japanese aggression.
