Yasmine Hamdan is a Lebanese singer and composer born in 1976 in Beirut, during the onset of the Lebanese Civil War. She is known for her unique blend of traditional Arab music with contemporary sounds, and she has been a prominent figure in the Middle Eastern music scene. After living in various countries including Kuwait, the UAE, Greece, and Lebanon, she settled in Paris in 2005. Her third solo album, 'I Remember I Forget,' features poignant themes reflecting her experiences as part of a 'digital diaspora' and addresses the impact of tragedies in her homeland, such as the 2020 Beirut port explosion.
