Yasuhiro Shima

Yasuhiro Shima is a skilled Japanese chef who has gained recognition for his technical expertise and devotion to the art of cooking. With over two decades of experience, he has honed his craft through rigorous training, including mastering the precise technique of katsuramuki. Previously serving as the personal chef to the Japanese ambassador in New York, Shima now works in Ottawa, where he recently teamed up with Canadian chef Phil Cameron to create a fusion dish that showcases the flavors of both Japan and Canada for a special event celebrating Emperor Naruhito's birthday.
