Yender Sulbarán
Yender Sulbarán is a student at the Faculty of Economics and the representative of the Student Center at the University of Panama. He has made headlines for denouncing a series of physical assaults, threats, and acts of intimidation against him and his peers, which he attributes to a campaign of ideological persecution by radical leftist groups following the electoral victory of his organization in 2024. Sulbarán alleges that since taking office, he and his group have faced escalating violence and harassment, including physical confrontations and threats to their safety, while asserting that the university administration has failed to protect them and has sided with their aggressors.
