Yoel Bastardo

Yoel Bastardo, a 30-year-old who has made multiple attempts to migrate to Puerto Rico, shared his experiences of both the challenges and opportunities faced by those who undertake such risky voyages. After being repatriated from Puerto Rico, he continues to grapple with the realities of limited opportunities in the Dominican Republic, contemplating future attempts to migrate for the sake of his family.
