Yoqub Ahmedov

Yoqub Ahmedov was a prominent Uzbek actor and director, born on January 3, 1938, in Namangan, Uzbekistan. He graduated from the Tashkent State Institute of Arts in 1959 and began his illustrious career at the Hamza Uzbek State Academic Drama Theatre in 1958. Ahmedov served as the director of the theatre from 1992 to 2013, significantly contributing to the cultural landscape of Uzbekistan. He was honored with the title of 'People's Artist of Uzbekistan' and received multiple awards, including the 'Order of Friendship' and 'For Services to the Motherland'. Ahmedov passed away at the age of 87, as reported by the National Academic Drama Theatre of Uzbekistan.
