Yoshiharu Shimizu

Yoshiharu Shimizu, a Japanese soldier, chose to stay in Vietnam after World War II to support the Việt Minh resistance against French colonial rule. He married Lê Thị Xuân and fathered three children with her, but faced separation from his family when he was required to return to Japan in 1955.
