Yundeh M. Butler is the Executive Director of the Liberia Rural Women Organization for Climate Action (LiRWOCA), a group focused on grassroots wetland conservation, women's empowerment, and environmental education. She has been actively involved in promoting the ecological and cultural significance of wetlands in Liberia, particularly in the Mesurado Wetlands, since 2023. Under her leadership, LiRWOCA has initiated various programs, including Village Savings and Loan Associations, to empower local women and youth, while advocating for community ownership in wetland protection.
