Yuriy Abayev

Yuriy Abayev is a 34-year-old former officer of the Russian army, known by the call sign 'Buiwolf'. He recently made headlines after being appointed as the Minister of Labor and Social Protection in North Ossetia, despite being identified by Ukrainian intelligence as one of the perpetrators involved in the execution of Ukrainian prisoners of war. Abayev, who served as the deputy commander of a unit in the 70th Guards Motor Rifle Regiment, has been decorated with the title of 'Hero of Russia' and holds the Order of Courage. His appointment is part of a broader initiative to place individuals with military combat experience in governmental positions, particularly those who participated in the conflict against Ukraine.
