Yuriy Shakhraychuk

Yuriy Shakhraychuk is the head of the press service for the 9th Border Detachment named after the Sich Riflemen, which is responsible for patrolling the Ukrainian-Belarusian border. Recently, he reported a significant increase in the number of men attempting to illegally cross this border, highlighting the challenges faced by Ukrainian border guards amid heightened military restrictions. Under his leadership, the detachment has identified over 70 organized crime groups involved in human smuggling across this border, reflecting the complex security situation in the region.
