Yutthana Phoolpipat is the Deputy Director-General of the Customs Department in Thailand. He recently made headlines for announcing plans to amend laws to reduce import tariffs on over 10,000 items from the United States, in alignment with U.S. tax policy agreements. This move is expected to take effect by late 2025 and could lead to significant revenue losses for the Thai government, estimated at around 8 billion baht for the fiscal year 2026.
