Yvonne Watterson

Originally from Antrim, Yvonne Watterson is now based near Guadalajara, Mexico, following a distinguished 30-year career in public education. As a high school principal in the United States, she was recognized for her advocacy for social justice, receiving accolades such as the City of Phoenix Martin Luther King Living the Dream Award. Watterson began her storytelling journey in 2011 after an invasive breast cancer diagnosis led her to seek answers online, which eventually blossomed into a blog. She recently collaborated with Stephen Travers on 'The Bass Player – Surviving the Miami Showband Massacre,' showcasing her commitment to sharing impactful narratives.
