Zacarias Lucas Lázaro Nguenha

Zacarias Lucas Lázaro Nguenha is a 31-year-old Mozambican poet and educator, born on February 20, 1994, in Munhinga, Sussundenga, Manica Province. He recently won the 7th edition of the Fernando Leite Couto Literary Prize for his poetry collection 'Costurar a Linguagem.' Nguenha, who holds a degree in Portuguese Language from the Catholic University of Mozambique and is currently pursuing a law degree at the University of Púnguè, is also known for his debut book 'Confissões da Madrugada' released in 2024. His work reflects a deep engagement with the themes of identity and the human experience, showcasing his technical prowess and maturity as a writer.
