Zach Goudstikker was a prominent Dutch art dealer whose extensive collection was looted by the Nazis during World War II. He fled the Netherlands in 1940 to escape the invasion but tragically died during his escape. His collection, which included over 1,100 artworks, was purchased by Hermann Göring for a fraction of its worth.
