Zakir Husain

Zakir Husain was an esteemed Indian politician and educationalist who served as the third President of India from 1967 until his untimely death in 1969. He was the first Muslim to hold the office and is remembered for his contributions to education, particularly in promoting higher education and fostering a spirit of national integration. Husain was also known for his role as the Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, where he significantly advanced the institution's academic reputation.
