Zandile Mchiza

Zandile Mchiza is a chief specialist scientist in the NCD research unit of the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC). She focuses on the epidemiology of noncommunicable diseases in South Africa and has highlighted the challenges the country faces in diagnosing and treating diabetes, which is increasingly becoming a leading cause of death.
