Zehra Murguz

Zehra Murguz is a Bosnian woman and a survivor of the war atrocities that took place during the Bosnian War in the 1990s. After years of living in exile, she returned to Bosnia in 2011 to seek justice for her experiences in the notorious 'rape camps' run by Serb forces. Murguz bravely testified against her rapist, contributing to the historic recognition of sexual violence as a crime against humanity by international courts. Her commitment to giving voice to the voiceless, including the memory of a young girl she witnessed suffering, highlights her resilience and determination for justice.
