Zejna Nasar is a pioneering German-Lebanese boxer making headlines as the first female boxer to compete while wearing a hijab in a professional setting. Born in Berlin, she developed a passion for boxing at the age of 13 after watching training videos on YouTube. Determined to pursue her dream, she convinced her parents to allow her to train by presenting arguments about the benefits of the sport for her education and focus. Despite facing challenges, including rules that previously prohibited wearing hijabs in competitions, Nasar fought for her right to represent her faith in the ring.
