Zelimkhan Khangoshvili

Zelimkhan Khangoshvili was a Georgian citizen and former combatant who sought asylum in Germany after fighting against Russian forces in Chechnya. He became widely known as the victim of the so-called 'Tiergarten murder,' which involved his assassination in Berlin in 2019, an incident that drew significant attention to issues of Russian espionage and political violence abroad.
