Zhan Belenyuk

Zhan Belenyuk is a Ukrainian wrestler and politician, known for his remarkable achievements in Greco-Roman wrestling. He gained international fame by winning a gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and securing silver at the Rio 2016 Olympics. Recently, he made headlines by transitioning into mixed martial arts (MMA), where he achieved a technical knockout victory over Israeli fighter Haim Gozali in his debut match on July 11, 2023. Belenyuk has announced plans to continue his athletic career, aiming to compete in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, while also serving as a member of the Ukrainian parliament.
